[closed] Giveaway & Review – Coco Baby OSFM Pocket Nappies

My first reaction when I opened the package which arrived in the mail from Coco Baby was ‘Wow!’ I received a Designer – Black Floral OSFM Pocket nappy, with a bamboo and microfibre insert which I’ve been trialling on my 16mo daughter.

This nappy has a beautiful printed cotton shell, which is laminated on the inside with PUL.  I love the natural, durable feel of the cotton, and surprisingly this fibre isn’t that common with MCN’s, with most having polyester or minky PUL outers. There are currently another 4 gorgeous prints available: Butterflys, Red Dot, Pink Circle and Blue Circle. These fabrics are unique, with cotton fabric designed, printed and coated with PUL for Coco Baby, making these nappies just that extra bit special.

This nappy is a simple pocket design, with the insert slipping easily inside the opening at the back of the nappy. The insert is made up of four layers of absorbent bamboo/microfibre towelling. The nappy is lined with soft suede cloth, which wicks the moisture away for a stay-dry feel for you baby. These nappy are a slightly larger fit than some OSFM, and are designed to fit most babies from around 5 – 6kg to toilet training. We are currently using the second snaps in, at a bit under 12.5kg.

Coco Baby is an Australian brand, which began when the owner,  Shona, began making her own MCN’s for her first baby in 2009. I attempted to make some MCN’s before my daughter was born, which have ended up being very realistic dolls nappies, as they are too small for even newborns.. so I have the utmost respect and admiration for Shona’s beautiful, functional cloth nappies!
